Adam Sandler - What The Hell Happened To Me?
Adam Sandler’s second album, “What The Hell Happened To Me”, is lots of fun. Sandler gets a little dark with a few skits/songs on this album (”Joining The Cult”,”The Goat”, “Crazy Love”, and “Sex or Weight Lifting”) and Sandler has proven with this album that he is very good at dark comedy. The one skit about the mob (”Respect”) is very funny, and if you ever wondered what the Francis Ford Coppola film “The Godfather” would be like if it was a comedy, Sandler has the answer to your question on this album. All in all, most of the songs and skits on this album are very good, and the best skits are all the skits about the excited southerner, “Do It For Your Mama”, and “The Hypnotist”, and the best songs are the live version of “The Chanukah Song”, “Mr. Bake-O”, and “Ode To My Car”. “What The Hell Happened To Me” (the song) finds Sandler playing piano jazz music, and the concept is funny, but the lyrics are kind of dumb. If you like Adam Sandler as much as I do, then this is the album for you.
