How to upload

I have written this TuT for those who wish to upload, but have never done it... it is a basic how to, to get you started on your way to becoming a master like me...lol.

First of all, right click and scan your .rar w/a trusty Anti-Virus.

If the .rar is clean then have a look inside, if there is any undesired spam... get rid of it...
many peeps fill the file w/garbage to get you to their site.

Next, it is best to test the application to see that it functions properly. This means installing the app... preferably on a test rig... but if you don't have an extra box
... the one you are on will work nicely!

Now... assuming that the app works, you are ready to re-pack it and make it your own!
I like to extract the .rar into a prenamed folder. So make a new folder and then, right click and hit extract to... the new folder.

Now that your files are in a new folder, you are ready to make a new .rar. Right click and hit add to archive!
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t205/lipripr/UploadTuTbylipripr_4.jpg

Once you have made a new .rar... look in WinRaR and scroll to the new archived .rar you created. (You can now skip to the uploading stage or read on to learn how to add a custom .txt)

Adding a custom .txt will verify where the download came from.

In WinRaR... scroll to your prefered .txt and then highlight it and then up top in WinRaR, select add files to archive.
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t205/lipripr/UploadTuTbylipripr_6.jpg

You will see your selected text... Next hit the browse button and find your desired .rar and hit the open button.

You should see the .rar you want and then hit OK to add your .txt to the .rar

Now at this point, I like to test the .rar to make sure there are no errors. Highligh the .rar and then up top select Test.

Now you are ready to upload to a file host of your choice. I like to upload to a host where I have an account so I have more control over my uploaded files.
Although that is not necessary as you can upload to the file host and then just copy and paste the file URL upon completion.
So go to a file host and most will be similar to MediaFire... Choose I want to upload a file and then browse to the file of your choice... I like to upload 10 at a time when I can,
some file hosts don't allow that many at one time, but lucky for me... MediaFire does! If you have a file folder w/the host... make sure you are logged in before starting your upload.
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t205/lipripr/UploadTuTbylipripr_10.jpg

Once you have chosen the file... or files you are going to upload, hit the upload button.
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t205/lipripr/UploadTuTbylipripr_11.jpg

You should then see the progress of your upload.
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t205/lipripr/UploadTuTbylipripr_12.jpg

When the uploading is complete and the files are verified by the host... you will be able to go to your files and they will be in your account;
now is the time to copy and paste the URL to the file so you can share it w/all your friends at DLthe.net.
It is a good idea to find all your screenshots and descriptions while the upload is in progress. I like to host all my screenshots at an online image host(it works the same as uploading a file)

There are other things you can do, like passwording, making executables, and or encrypting your files... but those are TuT's for another time... Ciao!
